Introduction of Cardivas Tablet (Carvedilol)

Cardivas Tablet belongs to a class of 'blood pressure lowering medicines' called beta-blockers that are used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure), moderate to severe heart failure, and angina (cardiac chest pain). It is also sold under the brand name Coreg. In addition, Cardivas Tablet also reduces the risk of heart attack or stroke in adults. High blood pressure is a condition in which the force of the blood against the walls of the arteries is too great. This will increase the workload of the heart and arteries. If left too long, the heart and arteries cannot work properly and damage blood vessels in the heart, brain, and kidneys, leading to heart failure, stroke, or kidney failure. Cardivas Tablet contains Carvedilol which dilates blood vessels by blocking the action of certain natural substances such as epinephrine or adrenaline. Thus, lowering high blood pressure, and keeping the heart rate down slowly with less force, reduces the risk of stroke, heart attack, or other heart problems. You can take Cardivas Tablet without food and swallow it whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew or break it. Your doctor will advise you how often to take the medicine depending on your condition. In some cases, you may experience diarrhea, headache, weight gain, slow heart rate, dry eyes, fatigue, dizziness, or low blood pressure. Most Cardivas Tablet side effects do not require medical attention and gradually go away over time. In any case, in the event that the aftereffects persevere, if it's not too much trouble, counsel your primary care physician. If you are allergic to Cardivas Tablet or any other medications, please inform your doctor. Cardivas Tablet is not recommended for children under 18 years of age. If you are pregnant or nursing, please inform your doctor before taking Cardivas Tablet. If you are having surgery, you should let your doctor know that you are taking Cardivas Tablet. Avoid taking Cardivas Tablet if you have bronchitis, asthma, emphysema (a lung condition that makes breathing difficult), severe liver disease, heart blockage, slow heart rate, or sick sinus syndrome (irregular heartbeat caused by activity) of the natural pacemaker). If you have diabetes, coronary heart disease, fluid retention, thyroid disorder, angina (chest pain), kidney disease, bradycardia, Raynaud's disease (a circulatory problem), or pheochromocytoma (tumor of the gland). Adrenal glands, tell your doctor before taking Cardivas Tablet.
