How it works
Tacrolimus belongs to a category of drugs called as immunosuppressant. It prevents the body’s immune system from attacking the newly transplanted organ such as liver, heart, or kidney. This also helps in resolution of skin diseases due to altered immune function.

- Take tacrolimus on empty stomach or 2-3 hours after a meal.
- Do not take tacrolimus if you are allergic to it or to any other content in the medicine; or to sirolimus or other macrolide antibiotics (erythromycin, clarithromycin).
