I-Pill Tablet, also known as Levonorgestrel, is an emergency contraceptive pill that is used to prevent an unwanted pregnancy after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure. It contains 1.5 mg of levonorgestrel, a progestogen hormone that works by delaying ovulation or inhibiting sperm migration. I-Pill Tablet is a single-dose tablet that is intended for occasional use only and should not be used as a substitute for long-term contraception. It is important to take I-Pill Tablet as early as possible, and no later than 72 hours after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure, for it to be effective. If you're sexually active and want to avoid unplanned pregnancy, taking a contraceptive is a good idea. However, in the event of a contraception failure or unprotected sex, emergency contraception is an option worth considering. It is also sold under the brand name Plan B one step among others.

i-Pill Tablet (Levonorgestrel) is a hormonal contraceptive tablet that is used as an emergency contraceptive to avoid pregnancy. It is taken orally and helps prevent pregnancy by delaying ovulation, preventing sperm from fertilizing the egg, and inhibiting the implantation of the egg in the uterus.

i-Pill is recommended for occasional use only and should not be used as a substitute for long-term contraception. If you have unprotected sex, contraceptive failure, or misuse, i-Pill can help you avoid pregnancy if taken within 72 hours.

Levonorgestrel is also available as an intrauterine device (IUD) that can be used for up to three years as a method of contraception. Side Effects of i-Pill Tablet (Levonorgestrel)

Common side effects include breast tenderness, nausea, irregular bleeding or spotting, allergic reactions, lower stomach pain, vomiting, tiredness, temporary disturbance of your normal monthly cycle, unexpected bleeding, diarrhea, dizziness, and headache. Precautions of i-Pill Tablet (Levonorgestrel)

Before taking Levonorgestrel, there are some precautions you should take into consideration. If you are allergic to any of the ingredients in this medicine or are pregnant, do not take i-Pill. If you have had a disease called salpingitis (inflammation of the Fallopian tubes) or have ever had an ectopic pregnancy (where a baby develops outside the womb), fallopian tube surgery, or pelvic inflammatory disease, talk to your doctor before taking Levonorgestrel.

If you have severe liver problems, severe digestive problems (e.g. Crohn’s disease), or are under 16 years of age (your local family planning clinic may also be able to help), talk to your doctor before taking Levonorgestrel. If you are breastfeeding, it is important to talk to your doctor before taking this medication.

If you throw up within 3 hours of taking the tablet, you will need to take another tablet. Additionally, if the medicine delays your normal monthly cycle by more than five days, or it is unusually light or heavy, you should talk to your doctor as soon as possible and have a pregnancy test.
