Introduction Of Amazeo Tablet (Amisulpride)

Amazeo Tablet contains the active ingredient Amisulpride, an atypical antipsychotic medication. It is used for the treatment of acute and chronic schizophrenia, including cases with prominent positive (hallucinations, delusions) and/or negative (emotional withdrawal, lack of motivation) symptoms.

Precautions Of Amazeo Tablet

  • Medical Conditions:Avoid use if you have pheochromocytoma, breast cancer, or prolactin-dependent tumors, as Amisulpride increases prolactin levels.Use cautiously in patients with heart disease, low potassium or magnesium levels, or QT prolongation, as it may cause serious heart rhythm problems.
  • Dose adjustments may be needed in kidney impairment (since Amisulpride is mainly excreted by kidneys).
  • Avoid or use cautiously in elderly patients, especially those with dementia, due to increased risk of side effects.
  • Pregnancy & Breastfeeding:Use only if clearly needed and prescribed by your doctor. Not recommended during breastfeeding as the drug may pass into breast milk.
  • Driving & Machinery:Can cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision — avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you.
  • Alcohol:Avoid alcohol as it can increase drowsiness and blood pressure fluctuations.
  • Mental Health Monitoring:Regularly monitor for suicidal thoughts, mood changes, or abnormal movements.Do not stop taking it suddenly — taper the dose gradually under medical supervision.
  • Regular Tests:ECG monitoring is recommended for patients with cardiac risk factors.Periodic prolactin level checks may be required during long-term use.
