Provironum 25mg (Mesterolone Tablet)

What is Mesterolone for:
This medication is a derivative of testosterone hormone, prescribed for infertility in men.

How does Mesterolone work:
It works by supplementing the amount of androgen naturally produced.

How should Mesterolone be used:
It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with or without food. Adult: PO- Androgen deficiency; Infertility due to hypogonadism- Initial: 75-100 mgday in divided doses. Maintenance: 50-75 mgday in divided doses.

Common side effects of Mesterolone :
Liver- Malignant liver tumors.

What do I do if I miss a dose
Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses. Call your doctor for an office visit.

What precautions should I take when taking Mesterolone :
Regular examination of prostate gland and breast needed during treatment. Caution should be exercised in patients with history of high blood pressure, diabetes, migraines, cancer, heart, liver and kidney problems, increased level of calcium in blood, any allergy, who are taking other medications and in children.
