Introduction of Febucip Tablets (Febuxostat)

Febucip Tablet belongs to a class of anti-gout medications, also known as xanthine oxidase inhibitors, which are widely used to prevent severe gout attacks or flare-ups. Gout is a chronic disease caused by the deposition of uric acid crystals in the joints. It is characterized by severe pain and swelling of the affected joints. Febucip Tablet prevents sudden attacks of pain caused by severe gout and also reduces pain, swelling and inflammation. Febucip Tablet contains febuxostat. It works by inhibiting the enzyme xanthine oxidase (an enzyme that helps your body produce uric acid), thereby reducing the level of uric acid produced in your body. Thus, it reduces the inflammation caused by uric acid crystals in the affected joints, thereby reducing pain, swelling and inflammation. Febucip Tablet is used to prevent gout attacks or flare-ups. Febucip Tablet is a medicine taken by mouth. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, bite or break it. Your doctor will tell you how often to take Febucip Tablet depending on your medical condition. Common side effects of Febucip Tablet water retention in the tissues (edema). Most Febucip Tablet side effects do not require medical attention and gradually go away over time. However, if side effects persist, contact your doctor. Do not stop taking Febucip Tablet on your own. Stopping it could make your condition worse and increase your risk of increased uric acid levels and future gout attacks. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to Febucip or any other medicines, if you have heart problems (Febucip Tablet can cause heart problems that can lead to a heart attack), kidney/liver. Some people have more flare-ups when you start taking Febucip Tablet. You should continue to take this medicine even during a gout flare. Your doctor may prescribe a combination treatment to prevent flare-ups when you start taking Febucip Tablet. Safety and efficacy have not been established in children less than 18 years of age, therefore Febucip Tablet should not be given to children. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, you should inform your doctor before taking Febucip Tablet.
