Introduction of Asthalin Tablets (Salbutamol ventolin)

ASTHALIN TABLET is a combination respiratory medicine containing salbutamol (a bronchodilator) and theophylline (xanthine and phosphodiesterase inhibitor). Together, they help manage chronic conditions of the respiratory system, including asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Asthma is a respiratory problem in which the airways narrow, swell, and produce excess mucus, resulting in difficulty breathing. On the other hand, COPD is a group of progressive lung diseases, along with emphysema (difficulty breathing) and chronic bronchitis (bronchitis). It can be mild at first, but it can lead to complete airway obstruction and lung damage in severe cases. ASTHALIN TABLET (Salbutamol ventolin) helps control asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) by relaxing and widening the narrow or blocked airways (bronchi) in the lungs, making it easier to breathe in. ASTHALIN TABLET is used to treat initiating asthma attacks (acute attacks) and wheezing (whistling when breathing) caused by factors such as colds or exercise. It is best to take ASTHALIN TABLET without food, mainly on an empty stomach. It ought to be gulped down with a glass of water. Do not chew, bite or break it. Your doctor will advise you how often to take the medicine depending on your condition. You may experience nausea, vomiting, restlessness, tremors, headaches, muscle cramps, and heart palpitations in some cases. Most of these ASTHALIN TABLET side effects do not require medical attention and gradually disappear over time. However, if side effects persist, contact your doctor. Make an effort not to quit taking this medication all alone. Tell your doctor about this, as it may cause withdrawal symptoms. Do not take this medicine if you have lung disease, muscle weakness (myasthenia gravis), trouble sleeping or sleeping (sleep apnea), severe liver disease, or take alcohol or other prescription recreational drugs. ASTHALIN TABLET is a habit-forming drug and therefore carries the risk of addiction to this drug. Before stopping this medication, contact your doctor as it may cause withdrawal symptoms such as anxiety, heart palpitations, tremors, or general irritability.
