Introduction of Bimatoprost Drop (Bimatoprost)

Bimatoprost is a medicine that treats high pressure in the eye (ocular hypertension) and helps fight glaucoma. High pressure can happen when too much fluid builds up in your eye. Bimatoprost helps to drain fluid. If left untreated, high pressure can damage your optic nerve and lead to vision loss or blindness. Bimatoprost eye drops (eye drops) are used to treat certain eye conditions such as open-angle glaucoma and increased blood pressure in the eye (eye) that occurs in many people as they age. Glaucoma is caused by high pressure in the eye and can lead to pressure-induced pain in the eye and can subsequently damage your vision. This medicine can help you keep your vision by reducing pressure in your eyes and relieving eye pain. Bimatoprost eye drops are also used to treat eyelash hypoplasia (insufficient eyelashes) by increasing eyelash growth and making eyelashes longer, thicker, and darker.

Uses of Bimatoprost Drop (Bimatoprost)

This medication is used to treat patients with insufficient or insufficient eyelashes. Bimatoprost makes eyelashes more visible by growing more eyelashes and making them longer, thicker and darker. Bimatoprost is similar to a natural chemical in the body (prostaglandin). Bimatoprost is also used to treat glaucoma. If you are using or have been advised to use bimatoprost to treat glaucoma, be careful not to get this eyelash growth medication in your eyes. Adding an extra dose of the bioreactor in your eye could make it less effective at treating glaucoma. Remove all makeup and contact lenses. Contact lenses can be reinserted 15 minutes after applying this medication. Apply one drop of this medication to the application site provided. Then, immediately apply applicator gently onto skin from the edge of the upper eyelid to the end of the lashes, going from the inner part of the lash line to the outside. Dot any excess solution applied outside the lash line. Throw away the topical medication after applying it. Repeat with a new applicator for the upper eyelid. This medication should not be used on the lower eyelid. If the medicine gets in the eyes, do not wash the eyes. This medicine is not likely to get in the eyes because it is the same medicine used in the eyes to treat glaucoma.

Side Effects of Bimatoprost Drop (Bimatoprost)

There may be redness/discomfort/itching/dryness of the eyes or redness of the eyelids. If any of these results persist or get worse, inform your physician or pharmacist proper away. Hair may grow in other areas of skin to which this medicine comes into frequent contact. Be sure to wipe off excess medication after applying it to the edge of your lashes (see How to Use section). Remember that this medicine was prescribed to you because your doctor has decided that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. When the eye drop form of this medication is applied directly to the eye to treat glaucoma, it may slowly (over several months or years) cause brown discoloration of the colored part of the eye (iris). The form of bioreactor used to improve the appearance of eyelashes may also have this effect. In addition, this medicine may cause eyelid changes or darkening of the skin around the base of the eyelashes. After discontinuing use, the darkening of the eyelids will disappear after a few weeks to a few months. However, other side effects (such as iris discoloration) may be permanent.
